This past Sunday at Kyffin Grove was filled with delicious food and drinks, beautiful music, and sunshine to spare at our Earth Day Celebration.
The event was kicked off with the unveiling of our new gardens at Kyffin Grove. There are three gardens (one that can be enjoyed on each floor of the building) each growing a wonderful mixture of fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
“We love using fresh ingredients in our kitchen,” Said Kyffin Grove Executive Director, Dee Jones, “Now that we have the gardens, we’re very excited to grow peppers and tomatoes that can go right on the menu!”
Our musical guest, Annie Williams, sang classic hits and some modern songs that kept the whole party singing along. The entertainment was a perfect way to enjoy the sunny weather on our patio, and encouraged plenty of dancing.
Chef Keanon Lewis prepared an amazing spread of finger sandwiches and fresh fruit. And of course our Life Enrichment Director, Michael Mendel, was prepared with shaker in hand to make sure everyone had a special Earth Day Lemonade cocktail.
We’re so excited to see how our gardens grow throughout the spring and glad that our families shared such a great day with us!
